The Councilor for Public Safety of the City of Lorca, Belén Pérez Martínez, has announced a road traffic cut on the road that connects Los Pilones and San José due to the progress of the works that are being undertaken to improve and adapt the aforementioned road.

The mayor stressed that "the progress of the works for its expansion and asphalting forced to cut it between December 3, 2018 and until February 28, 2019. The entire route that covers from the vicinity of the mortuary Lazaro Soto, will be cut, On the way up to the Club Hípico, up to Los Pilones, next to the Castle of Lorca, the corresponding alternative itineraries will be indicated so that the cut will suppose the least possible inconvenience to the users ".

As for the access to the Castle, Parador de Turismo and Sierra de la Peñarrubia, it will be made by the Carretera de La Parroquia, RM-701, or by the Calle Mayor de Santa María (height limited to 2'5 meters) and the Circunvalación Norte del Castle.

The descent from the Castle, Parador and the Peñarrubia will be made through the Circunvalación Sur del Castillo, Carretera de La Parroquia, RM-701 or Calle Mayor de Santa María (height limited to 2'5 meters).

The Local Police will monitor itineraries for the best development of traffic safety in our city.
