PSOE: "The regional budgets of the PP increase the gap between health areas and re-punish Lorca and Rafael Méndez" (10/12/2018)

The PSOE will submit amendments to the Regional Budgets to continue vindicating the necessary investments to correct the serious asymmetries and to compare the personnel ratios of area III of health to the regional average.

The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sanchez has denounced that the Regional Government of Lopez Miras, with the approval of Mayor Gil Jódar, want to continue sharpening the differences between health areas "investing less where it is most needed."

Warns that health area III, in which Lorca is located, will be one of the three areas in which less will go up to the hiring of health personnel by 2019.

Marisol Sánchez asks Gil Jódar "what is doing to swallow such a comparative grievance".

"What is Mr. Gil Jódar doing to consent that with the lack of health personnel we have in Lorca, essential to alleviate waiting lists, to decongest our health centers and emergency services, and at the same time, to relieve the pressure that our professionals have, area III is the "third by the tail" in the increase of investment for personnel.

The mayor has stated that while in health area III the departure for the recruitment of health personnel will grow over the previous year by 3.68%, areas such as Murcia East (hospital Morales Messeguer) will register an increase of 4.18 %;

the IX, Vega Alta del Segura, 4.34%;

I, Murcia West (Virgen del Arrixaca), will grow 4.79% and in VII, Murcia East (Reina Sofía hospital) the budget for personnel will grow 6.48%, double that in Lorca.

"The picture is this: in Lorca we have the worst waiting lists, with 7,880 patients waiting without medical appointment, with an average wait to be treated for 104 days, and all because the medical agendas are closed, blocked, because they do not there are enough specialists to cover the entire population, and while we see that in Lorca the departure increases half less than in areas like VII, where there are zero patients waiting to be seen, and where the average waiting time is only 45 days, warns Sanchez Jódar, "This discrimination and this abuse towards Lorca is intolerable, reckless and irresponsible," and warns, "the PP will have to clarify on what criteria are based, certainly not sanitary, to allocate more budget to areas of health that have better indicators than Lorca ".

Sánchez Jódar warns that "it is evident that the Popular Party is unable to solve the serious and illegal waiting lists that we suffer in Lorca and in the whole area III health, because when you have in your hand increase the items for hiring staff "What they do is yes, increase the items but in other areas."

For all this, he says, "the only solution is to stop voting for the Popular Party."

"With the Popular Party we already know what we have: a serious asymmetry between health areas."

Health care can not be unequal depending on the postal code, and therefore we do not tire of saying that Lorca do not want to be more, but not less than the rest of Murcia, "he insists.
