The Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, along with the delegate of the newspaper La Verdad in Lorca, Pilar Wals, have delivered the collection obtained in the VI San Silvestre "City of Lorca" to the president of the Challenge Yes I can, Francisco Montes, and Carmen Moreno, of D'Genes.
Bayonas recalled that "the 2018 edition of the race with which the sporting year in the city is dismissed was for the benefit of D'Genes, Association of Rare Diseases, through the #Pasitos Project launched by # retoyosípuedo. There is only one better way to end the year than doing sports and it is doing solidary sports, as we have done this year through this running party that brought together 800 people and that has allowed us to collect 3,420 euros that will help meet with the objectives of the Challenge in favor of D'Genes ".
The VI San Silvestre "City of Lorca" was organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Lorca and the newspaper La Verdad on the afternoon of December 31, 2018. The test was sponsored by the Autonomous Community, KIA, CaixaBank and the photovoltaic company X-ELIO, as well as the collaboration of the local police, the Spanish Red Cross, the Department of Emergency, volunteers of the Yes I Can Challenge and the Athletics Club Puertas Lorca and other volunteers.
Bayonas wanted to "congratulate all the participants, both in the absolute race and in those aimed at the youngest, to consolidate this sports and solidarity festival and to do their bit so that the Yes I Can Challenge of 2019 started in the best way, and also our thanks to sponsors, collaborators and volunteers and to all those who have made the VI San Silvestre "City of Lorca" a tremendous success ".
