Fulgencio Gil claims the improvement of the railway station of this district, which was already included in the construction project for the arrival of the AVE to Lorca, contemplating more comfortable and safe platforms for users of this service.
The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has supervised this morning the repair work of the Telefónica Street and the Virgen del Pilar Crossing, which are being undertaken by the City Council in the hamlet of La Hoya, within the broad battery of performances improvement that take place in the districts of our municipal area, in this case financed entirely by the Regional Government through the Plan of Districts and Districts.
The First Edil has stressed that from the City we are executing continuous interventions to improve the quality of life and the urban environment of Lorca residing in districts, with the aim of consolidating the backbone of the municipality, offering some councils to improve its state of conservation and modernize their services.
In this line of work we are influencing in a particular way, allocating all the economic resources that we find.
As a closer example in time we can point out the 33,775 euros that we have invested to materialize various repairs in La Hoya, and that have served to renew the paving of the streets Telefónica and Virgen del Pilar, establishing a new layer of asphalt to reinforce the road surface. , an improvement that has been extended, in addition, to a stretch of street and sidewalk that we also wanted to renovate in the vicinity of the health center of this district.
The works have included the improvement of the vertical and horizontal signaling of these roads.
It should be noted that this action in La Hoya is added to the one completed just a few days ago at the facilities of the Municipal Football Field of '' Los Tollos '', which has amounted to 9,200 euros.
Among the works carried out to term has been the repainting of the changing rooms inside and outside, as well as the integral painting of bleachers and rails.
To improve the safety of the children who practice sports every week in these facilities, rubber bands have been placed on the benches, as well as protectors to cover the irrigation cannons around the field.
In addition, these works have been completed with the placement of artificial turf in the side safety bands of the pitch and the correction of deteriorated elements in the lighting of the football field.
The Mayor has stressed that, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Education, is also proceeding to improve the school of this hamlet, Juan Navarro.
This is an extension works that will involve the creation of 5 new classrooms with their corresponding toilets, and a covered porch in the area of ​​the playground to create a shaded area and protect from rain.
The budget of this work amounts to 518,433 euros.
The Mayor has also anticipated that special attention is being paid to what is contemplated in the construction project of the AVE line in reference to La Hoya station, for which we demand a model that allows us to take advantage of the existing platform in order to that can provide service for the users of the trains in Lorca sense.
We will avoid in this way that people have to cross the tracks to catch the train, following the approach of the works that envisaged the execution of a platform and a way of section in the general left track for trains meaning Murcia.
Fulgencio Gil has said that from Lorca we will be especially vigilant so that the station of the Hoya is extended, providing a way of section on its left side.
In this way, exploitation in the first phase we want it to be on the opposite side of the current one, for which we ask that a platform be designed between the left and the left.
In order to adapt this station to the new railway layout and operation, the actions that must be carried out at the La Hoya station are the following:
New platform 210 meters long by a width of 6.38 m.
Prolongation of the current platform in a length of 24.17 m.
Extension of the current underpass in a length of 23 m to give access to the new platform through a fixed staircase and lift, also of new execution.
It is necessary to contemplate a staircase with restricted access in anticipation of a future technical platform for goods stops.
