A tribute to Bertolucci, the latest from Julio Médem and the winning film from the Malaga film festival center the Cineclub Paradiso's offer for the first quarter of the year (30/01/2019)

The Guerra Theater will also host sessions dedicated to the celebration of the International Day of Women's Rights, and Father's Day, with the screening of the films "El Orden Divino" and "Waterboys", respectively.

The Councilor for Culture in the City Council of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, together with the director of the Cineclub Paradiso, Jesús Martínez, presented the cinematographic program that the aforementioned association has prepared for the first months of 2019. Based on quality and interest titles and contrasted the Cineclub offers its numerous followers 9 films during the months of February, March and April, with Wednesday as a reference day for all the screenings in its double session at 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm, and the Theater War as the only scenario.

As always, with free space until the capacity of the room allows it.

On Wednesday, February 6, we started with one of the highlights of Spanish cinema in 2018, the undisputed winner of the last Malaga Festival and also a strong candidate for several Goya awards: "Distances".

It is an accurate and acid portrait of the millennial generation, with superb interpretations inside.

And if we speak of actors, extraordinary work developed by the protagonist of "The guilty" (Wednesday, February 13), an amazing Danish film that focuses on suspense and mystery with a perfection and tension at the height of the great masters of genre, an option of pure entertainment with the quality of good cinema that will bridge to our next bet for Spanish cinema: "The blood tree" (Wednesday, February 20).

We are before the return through the big door of Julio Médem to his best cinema and his usual songs.

February closes with a tribute to the cinema and its influence on all of us as spectators delivered and nostalgic with the screening of "Unearthing Sad Hill" (Wednesday, February 27).

We can enjoy this documentary about the filming in our country of a great classic of Western: "The good, the ugly and the bad", and the sensations that this event left among the citizens who participated, to a greater or lesser extent, in it .

March will come with our proposal to join the events within the International Day of Women's Rights, with "Divine order" (Wednesday, March 6), a story that comes from Switzerland to tell us that not so long ago that the Women from the highly civilized Europe had to fight for such basic rights as suffrage.

It will continue with an obligatory tribute to the recently deceased Bernardo Bertolucci, one of the great European directors of all history, from whom we have selected one of his most outstanding titles: "El conformista" (Wednesday, March 13).

It is the film that definitively consecrated him and probably one of the most valid in Europe today.

We have also reserved a title to celebrate Father's Day, the exciting and very rhythmic "Waterboys" (Wednesday, March 20), perfect for discovering the Cineclub to our children.

And open your appetite for the following Wednesday, with "Un día más con vida" (Wednesday, March 27), a marvel in animation about real figures that adapts the personal experience of the great Polish war reporter Ryszard Kapuscinski during the armed conflict in Angola , with Spanish stamp on your final invoice.

We stretch until April to close the program with one of the wonders brought to us by American cinema in the past 2018: "The rider" (Wednesday, April 3).

We can enjoy a story of cowboys as never before had shown, full of melancholy, beauty and courage, interpreted with an exciting authenticity by the very characters in which it is inspired.

We are talking about a cinematographic program of quality and topicality in the center of our city that adds to the rest of the cultural offer of the War Theater for this winter of 2019 and that will continue in spring after the parenthesis of Holy Week.
