Blanca López and Francisco Montoya prevail in the 11th Narration Contest for Secondary Education "Ãngeles Pascual Prize" (12/02/2019)

The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has made public the decision of the jury of the 11th Narration Contest for Secondary Education "Ángeles Pascual Prize", which involved 356 narrations of students of compulsory secondary education of the center IES San Juan Bosco, Ciudad del Sol School, IES Ramón Arcas, IES Ibáñez Martín, IES High Pedanías and San Francisco de Asís School.

The contest pays tribute to the historical teacher of the institutes Ibáñez Martín and Ros Giner, director of the Municipal Library for more than 30 years and Adoptive Daughter of Lorca, Mrs. Ángeles Pascual.

In the category destined to 1st and 2nd year students of ESO, the winner was Blanca López Martínez, 2nd year student of ESO of IES Ramón Arcas Meca, with her story "Cadena perpetua".

The second prize has corresponded to the narration "The legend of Ashima or as the trip to the" stone forest "in China changed my life", the work of Irene García Guerrero, student of 2nd ESO of IES Ramón Arcas Mecca.

The third prize has been for the story "The girl of my profession", written by Paula Martínez Bermejo, student of 1 ° of the ESO of IES Ramón Arcas Meca.

Finalists were Pedro Martínez Giménez, 2nd of ESO of IES Ramón Arcas Meca, for "Salavador";

Carlos Martínez García, 2nd year student of the ESO of the Ciudad del Sol School, for "Una luz acogedora" and Patricia Llamas García, 2nd year of the ESO of IES Ramón Arcas, for "Today I had a dream".

Regarding the category for 3rd and 4th year students of ESO, the first prize went to Francisco Montoya Giménez, student of 4th of ESO of the San Francisco de Asís School for his narration "Letter from a stranger" .

The second prize went to Lucía Mª Abellán Ruiz, also a student of the 4th year of the ESO of San Francisco de Asís, for her story "Ultratumba".

The student of 4 ° of the ESO of the IES San Juan Bosco Rocío Munuera Manzanares has won the third prize with her story "A dos centimeters".

Finalist in this category was Clara López Periago, 4th of ESO of San Francisco de Asís, with her narrative "1936";

Juan Pedro González Montiel, of 4 ° of the ESO of the IES Ramón Arcas, for "The coop of my grandfather Benito" and Darío Romera Rodríguez of 4 ° of the ESO of the IES Ramón Arcas, for "Un día cualquiera".

The jury of the contest organized by the Municipal Libraries of Lorca has been chaired by the Councilor for Education and University of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, and trained by professors José Quiñonero Hernández and Adolfo Muñoz Palancas, the Head of Culture Service Ginés García Agüera and the librarians Susana de Torres Mora, Elena Hernández González and Luisa María García Peñas.
