Diego José Mateos: "The rejection of the PGE punishes Lorca with the loss of a direct investment of more than 16 million euros" "It is certified that both PP and C's together with the Catalan separatists put their partisan interest (13/02/2019)

"To vote against the General Budgets of the State is to vote against Lorca, vote against our districts, vote against our infrastructures, vote against our culture and vote against our patrimony"

The candidate for mayor of Lorca, and spokesman of the PSOE in the City Council, Diego José Mateos regrets that PP and C's (along with the Catalan separatists) have not reconsidered and have not left aside personal issues against the President of the Government from Spain to facilitate the approval of the General State Budgets.

"Lorca played a lot," underlines Mateos, for the direct investments contemplated in these budgets, including the 7 million euros that is the bonus of 50% of the IBI, the 3 million euros for districts that, due to poor management, Gil Jódar and his team lost because they did not sign the agreement with the Ministry at the time, the 4.4 million euros for the Palace of Justice in Calle Selgas, or the 1.4 million for the recovery of San Juan and the 378,000 euros for the mural paintings of the Virgen de las Huertas sanctuary.

"A total of more than 16 million euros that directly affected Lorca, its heritage, infrastructure and all Lorca and Lorca", so the candidate for Mayor of Lorca by the PSOE, Diego José Mateos demanded an act of responsibility to PP and C's so that "they will not vote against Lorca" with the sole intention of punishing Pedro Sánchez, because, according to Mateos, "Lorca must always be above the political squabbles between parties."

In addition, Diego José Mateos announced that following the visit yesterday by the Government Delegate, Diego Conesa to Lorca, a partial amendment was to be proposed to solve the pending issues related to the aid for earthquakes. 2011, which are affected by the general budgets, such as the interest generated by the 50% of state aid as well as the extension of the rent and reconstruction aid still pending from the time of Rajoy's government.

According to Mateos, these measures were to be supported and included in a joint motion together with other parties with parliamentary representation, so that in this way it could be "put an end once and for all" to the pending issues of solving the earthquakes.

For all this, Mateos reaffirms that "voting against the general budget of the state is to vote against Lorca and Lorca" and that Lorca could not lose the opportunity offered by the current Government of Spain to continue improving the life of Lorca and Lorca.

"It has been demonstrated that both the Popular Party and Citizens have not been up to Lorca and have betrayed Lorca and Lorca," sentence Mateos.
