The mayor anticipates that the City Council will turn the IBI receipts to those affected by the earthquakes maintaining the 50% bonus "for pure social justice" (14/02/2019)

Fulgencio Gil: "Those affected by the earthquakes do not have to pay the painful result of a government that has made us all waste their time, they do not deserve to be removed in this way the bonus that corresponds to them."

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has affirmed that the victims of the earthquakes of 2011 can not be harmed by the serious instability of the current central government, which knew from the first moment that he was not going to be able to approve his own budgets and has played with the Spaniards until their lie has been discovered.

The Mayor has indicated that I am concerned about the situation and today I demand the same as I asked 3 months ago, before we witnessed the failure of this government, to approve as soon as possible a Law Decree that contemplates the 50% bonus of the IBI to the victims by the earthquakes, the delivery to Lorca of the 3 million euros that they owe us for districts and the condoning by the State of the interests of the aid to those affected by the earthquakes.

The current government still has this instrument, granted by Constitution, and they are using it for much less important issues.

The First Edil has stressed that we have suffered enough because of natural disasters, which have hit us with extreme harshness, as to have to pay now the ineffectiveness of a central government that has made us waste time promising things that later did not comply.

Lorca does not deserve that because of this national disaster we take away the bonus that corresponds to us.

Fulgencio Gil has indicated that I think we should do is continue to sue this government failed to respect Lorca and meet those affected by earthquakes.

These months have ratified what we were saying: you can not govern Spain allying with those who want to break it.

Lorca need a strong government, which meets Lorca because in recent years we had the support of the State, which kept us the bonuses of the IBI, approved more than 9 million to improve infrastructure, awarded and began the works of the Palace of Justica, and we exhibited in our own City Council a clear project for the arrival of the AVE and the burying of the roads throughout the city.

All this has fallen apart in 5 months by the ineffectiveness of a failed government.

To recover what we need and the time that they have made us lose, we need a strong government.
