The musical, one hundred percent Murcian and based in the city of Lorca, has been selected as a Candidate for the MAX Theater Awards in the category of BEST MUSICAL OR LYRIC SHOW;
a contest of national scope, which this year celebrates its twenty-second edition, and which stands out among the highest accolades within the Spanish performing arts.
The Max Performing Arts Awards were created by the General Society of Authors and Publishers (SGAE) to recognize the work of the professionals and the quality of the most outstanding productions of each year.
They consist of nineteen categories, whose candidates are selected by different professional juries. A total of 119 shows of the 358 registered have been selected to participate as candidates in the 22nd edition of the Max Performing Arts Awards, as they have decided, in this first phase, the three territorial juries (Madrid, Catalonia and Autonomous Communities) appointed by the Organizing Committee.
After being nominated as a candidate, "LA DAMA Y EL VAGABUNDO" will compete with 6 other productions and a professional jury will determine which works are the winners in their respective categories.
Being the award ceremony gala next May 20 at the Teatro Calderón in Valladolid.
This candidacy is added to the one obtained just a few days ago as Best Family and Children's Show at the 27th Teatro Rojas de Toledo Awards, consolidating this production among the most outstanding of the national panorama in the category of children's and family musicals.
