Romera has indicated that in this place there are two flea markets every week that bring together hundreds of Lorca and visitors: a Second Hand Market every Saturday and the Purias Weekly Market held on Sundays.

The socialist mayor considers "a recklessness" that from the local administration "have not taken the appropriate measures to improve road safety in the area and order the transit of users and neighbors who have to cross the road to get to the market", despite being a road with high traffic of vehicles, especially heavy vehicles, be a straight stretch where vehicles reach high speeds and have to save the passage of three lanes of traffic.
