The candidate for Mayor of Lorca and Spokesperson of the PSOE in the City Council has announced that they will force, through the signature of their eight councilors, the holding of a monographic plenary session, with an extraordinary character, in which they will exclusively address solutions for the districts, "the forgotten ones" by the management of the Popular Party in Lorca.

The last "attack" to our districts, given by the Popular Party, we knew it recently after the rejection of the PP and Citizens to the State Budget that provided 3 million euros "intact" for improvements in the districts of the municipality.

"It is time for the districts and their people to regain the prominence that corresponds to them, and have not had during these twelve years of government of the Popular Party in Lorca," said Mateos.

Thanks to the signature of the eight council members that currently make up the Municipal Socialist Group, a plenary session will be held within 15 days to address issues such as depopulation affecting the districts, the dismantling of public services, the deterioration of municipal facilities, such as social premises or sports facilities, as well as issues of vital importance such as the lack of security in the districts.

"Our neighbors can be assured that starting in May, if we receive the majority confidence of the Lorca, there will be a Mayor and a government team in Lorca Town Hall that looks for those who have the luck, and I say well, the luck to reside in any of our districts, "said Mateos, who has insisted that" the first step is going to be this monographic Plenary, that we are going to force the PP to be held, to discuss the problems and at the same time, specify the solutions demanded by our neighbors. "

"I am convinced that for Lorca to shine again, they have to shine again in their districts, and that means more attention to our deputies, because you can not govern Lorca neglecting 43 percent of the population, as the Party has done Popular during his 12 years of government, during which "a gap has been created between the city and the districts that must be corrected."

Mateos has ensured that during the years of the Popular Party has "increased" the "disaffection" of the residents of the districts to the City of Lorca and that "we must reverse it."

The candidate for mayor believes that this disaffection is fueled by the management "focused on the city" that has made a Popular Party that "governs back to the councils" neglecting that "the districts are also Lorca."

With this monographic Plenary, Mateos aims to "devote all efforts to analyze the state of all districts, from north to south, through the belt of the garden, and at the same time propose a clear strategy, defined, with measures and concrete deadlines to implement, as soon as possible, to solve the problems that affect our neighbors of districts ".
