The VIII Tierras Altas de Lorca Rally will be a test of the Super Championship of Spain and will be held on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 March.
The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, met with the president of the Automobile Club of Lorca, Pedro Zamora;
the vice president, Pepe Mulero;
and the president of the Automobile Federation of the Region of Murcia, Sebastián Plazas, to know the details of this test.
The counselor indicated that "I am proud to know that work is being done to make this test more and more important and have greater visibility in the national territory, since the evolution towards higher levels is a good symptom".
The competition, organized by the Automobile Club of Lorca and the City of Lorca, was already scoring for the Championship of Spain Rally Earth, but this year will have greater prominence "because it will also be part of the eight tests chosen by the Spanish Federation for be part of the calendar of the Super Rally Championship ", explained the counselor.
This test receives a grant from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of 10,000 euros.
In this edition it will be the first time that the Tierras Altas de Lorca Rally lasts two days.
It consists of five special sections, of which four are repeated twice, with a total of 106 kilometers.
The competition begins on the 8th, at 8:30 p.m., on Juan Carlos I avenue in Lorca.
Another novelty that the organization also changes its headquarters and moves to Ifelor.
