Pedro Sosa, councilor spokesman for Izquierda Unida Verdes in the city of Lorca, announced this morning one of the measures he will take in his electoral program for the upcoming municipal elections in May, concerning the creation of two new municipal cemeteries in the vicinity of Cabezo Mariquita in Barranco Hondo in the case of Barrio and a place to agree with neighbors in the district of La Hoya.

According to Sosa, before the collapse suffered by the cemetery of San Cristóbal, despite the expansion works that have been committed both in it, as in San Clemente, this location is not enough for more and it is urgent to contemplate a new location before all the niches are occupied.

The most suitable place for its location according to Sosa, would be in the vicinity of the Cabezo Mariquita, near the current holy field of the neighborhood, and that is in the interior area of ​​the agreement that was to be given to the slaughterhouse, owned by a foreign company dedicated to livestock.

In addition, given that the hamlet of La Hoya is the only one with a consolidated population center that does not have its own cemetery, it is also necessary to address the creation of this essential service for its deputation, thus fulfilling a historical demand of its neighbors .

For this, it would be necessary to agree with the neighbors which would be the most suitable place for their location.
