PSOE Lorca: An unfavorable report from the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia disavows the installation of the photovoltaic installation project "Lorca Solar" (05/03/2019)

The Lorca PSOE ensures that the "Lorca Solar" is another empty ad more of the "era of the Popular Party in Lorca" that "falls on deaf ears" and goes to swell the list of "frustrated projects of which only remember the ad to hype and cymbal "like the Almendricos solar plant or the Chinese investment center in Zarcilla de Ramos

Diego José Mateos: "It is time to work to achieve a project that is viable, a guarantee for the different parties involved and affected."

The spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has reported that the project 'Lorca Solar', which provided for the installation of a photovoltaic plant in the district of Zarcilla de Ramos Lorca has received the disavowal of the Government after an "unfavorable" report "issued by the General Directorate of the Environment of Murcia as well as by the Office of Socioeconomic Impulse of the Region of Murcia.

"It is the CARM that has reported unfavorably on this project."

This is included in the resolution issued by the Ministry for Ecological Transition.

"The Government of Spain has not done more than attend these reports in which, clearly, the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia is the one that has discouraged, obviously, the installation of this macro photovoltaic plant, so it is totally outside of place to try to pour the blame against the Government of Spain ".

Specifically, this ministerial resolution, which rejects the authorization for the installation of this photovoltaic plant, reveals that on December 18, 2018, "the report of the General Directorate of the Natural Environment of Murcia was received", in the which shows the existence of a species of bird, the little bustard, classified as a "vulnerable species" in the list of wild species in Special Protection Regime in the space in which the installation of this macro plant was planned, and in the that "this area can be considered as a lek, so the destruction or deterioration of this, would be included in the generic prohibition of article 57 of Law 42/2007, of December 13, of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, as well as it would be a prohibited use according to the Law 7/1995, of April 21, of Wild Fauna of the Region of Murcia.

"Since this report was issued, on December 18, both the President of the Autonomous Community of the Region and various positions of the Regional Government have gone through Lorca, have visited the city, enough to have informed of this circumstance and , above all, to have tried to unlock this difficulty for the development of the project ".

However, it is evident that the PP "has preferred to lower its arms to now want to charge the inks against the Government of Spain" which, he insists, "has not done more than assume the unfavorable report issued by the CARM".

"If in these months difficulties have been encountered, they have had time to spare to work to try to solve them, to demand that the company modify the project to adjust it to the conditions of the land, but not: they have preferred, I insist, to lower their arms to that the investment was lost. "

In short, Mateos considers, "we are facing another frustrated project, one more, of those that the PP announces with great fanfare and then let it die" and incidentally, "blame others".

A project, the "Lorca Solar" that goes to swell the list of "empty projects" such as the macro plant of Almendricos "that left zero investments, zero jobs" or the Chinese Investment Zone "that was going to solve all the ills of Lorca ", according to the Popular Party" but of which never more was known ".
