Lorca launches a new tourist tour to recall the Hebrew legacy in the town (08/03/2019)

This is the literary route called "The Jewish Friend", which runs through different historical enclaves of the border Lorca that can be found in the homonymous novel by the writer Justo Pageo Ruzafa.

The councilman of Tourism in the City council of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has informed that the Municipal Consistory, in collaboration with the one of Velez White, is going to start of imminent form a new tourist route denominated "The Jewish friend".

It is a literary route based on the homonymous novel by the writer Justo Pageo Ruzafa.

In fact, the first experience will take place on March 23 with departure from Velez Blanco, in which the participation of an Almeria collective is planned.

Francisco Montiel has indicated that the planned itinerary will visit different spaces in the municipalities of Lorca and Vélez Blanco, in which the novel is developed, being able to start at any of the two locations depending on the origin of the visitors.

It is worth noting that an official guide and the author of the novel will accompany the group in this adventure for approximately 8 hours with food included.

The itinerary established for the individual tour from our city is as follows:

Meeting Point in the Visitors Center of Lorca.

The councilman of Tourism has said that the price of the route will be approximately € 26 for individuals with lunch and will be made with a minimum of 15 people next June 15.

For groups of between 30 and 50 people the itinerary will be adapted to the special needs of the group, contemplating their language and place of origin, as well as the price of the same.

Francisco Montiel explained that the author Justo Pageo Ruzafa is a writer and director of video and television, among his works include the series entitled "The Moriscos", "From the nail to the computer", and the documentary "Proud the wind hurt" (English version) : Proudly Hurt Wind) and the literary works "Notices of jail", "The battery of Bagdad" and in 2017 publishes "Tragedy and death of Abén-Humeya".
