The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro has denounced the "unfortunate state of abandonment" in which the entrance to the city is conserved by the area of ​​Las Palmeras.

The socialist mayor echoed the reports of neighboring numbers in the area, who warn of the neglect of the old N-340 road, from Apolonia to the area in which a well-known Service Station is located.

Navarro recalled that this section "is one of the main entrances to Lorca."

"It is a real shame the state in which the bike lane is located, if in truth it can receive that name, along the whole route", where it assures "the weeds that invade the part destined to the passage of the bicycles, as well as the landslides on the hillside that make it more and more difficult to cross that area ".

The socialist mayor has also referred to the pedestrian crossing that is at the height of the nursery that is just before the service station.

"The state in which this pedestrian crossing is is so unfortunate, that you have to do a divination exercise to know where it is, since it has been almost completely erased," which is a "public danger" that should be to attend before "having to regret some misfortune".

From the PSOE ask the Mayor and the government team of the Popular Party "to be able to meet their obligations, at least, during the months that lie in front of the City of Lorca."

Navarro asks that the proper road maintenance be carried out as soon as possible, in optimal conditions, especially in this case, in which the traffic flow is permanent, especially in this pedestrian crossing, which "is used every day by the users of the nursery ".

Also, from the PSOE request that a study be carried out for the feasibility of putting in that place a traffic light with push button in order to ensure the safety of pedestrians and mothers and fathers who each day take their children to the kindergarten.
