The president of the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Lorca, CECLOR, Antonio García, has signed this morning the protocol of collaboration for the promotion of the historic center with the president of the CARM, Fernando López Miras, the mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil , and the Minister of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment, representing the INFO, Javier Celdrán.

In this way CECLOR is an integral part of the project that aims to regenerate Lorca's historical center to promote it as a strategic area of ​​development and generation of life and wealth.

Antonio García has shown his satisfaction because "the demands that we have formulated during the last years since CECLOR for the recovery of the historical center have found an answer in the activation of this ambitious project called to promote the transformation of a privileged space in terms of history and monumentality of the city of Lorca, but to which the passage of time and the earthquakes of 2011 have left in a very improvable state.

From CECLOR we are convinced that the local historic center has a future and that it can be a cornerstone for the growth of our municipality, the Guadalentín Region and the entire Region of Murcia and therefore we assume the commitment to work together with the administrations in the impulse and the transformation of the historic center, which is an exciting project in which Lorca has to turn over ".

The Governing Council of the Autonomous Community held in the Huerto Ruano de Lorca has begun the procedures for the development of this initiative that provides for the commercial, social, urban and cultural revitalization of the historic center.

In this sense, Garcia recalled that "in CECLOR we have the experience, but also the ambition necessary to be an active part of this project in the benefit of Lorca and its productive fabric, promoting synergies that impact local dynamism, at the same time that the implementation of businesses and activities is promoted ".

Therefore, the president of CECLOR stressed that "we thank the Autonomous Community and the City Council that have supported our proposals and that we are signing this historic agreement, in the same way that we summoned them to expedite the procedures for the declaration as a strategic project of regional interest so that we can begin to define the strategies and priorities for the promotion of the historic center ".
