The City of Lorca was the scene this morning of a working meeting between the Mayor, Fulgencio Gil, and the managing partners of the Cooperativa Ambulancias de Lorca.

The meeting took place in the office of Mayor, with the presence, in addition, the President of the Company Committee of the Lorca cooperative and the councilors of Heritage and Health in the City Council, Francisco García and María del Carmen Ruiz.

The purpose of the meeting was to share the concern that the cooperative has generated in the development of the regional sanitary transport contracting procedure, with which the cooperative has shown its disagreement, specifically with the criterion of scale that has followed in it.

The Mayor has stated that it is a model cooperative, with an outstanding career, that has been carrying out its activity in our region over the past 30 years, carrying out an exemplary work, highlighting its extraordinary social involvement and its roots with the one that counts in our municipality.

We have to mention as concrete examples the projects that they carry out with the pets of the people that have suffered a sinister, as well as their condition of "Company for a society free of gender violence", collaborating in the hiring of victims and supporting inclusion initiatives , and its commitment to the labor stability of its workers and social and labor inclusion as a line of incorporation into employment.

He has collaborated with multiple events from all areas, which accounts for his accentuated corporate social responsibility.

Fulgencio Gil has indicated that he shares the concern with this workers' Cooperative and, with respect to public procurement procedures that depend exclusively on technical-administrative decisions, we have transferred our "firm support" to this morning's meeting, in which we have been told that they will present the relevant allegations and appeals in accordance with the legislation on hiring, which we consider reasonable and appropriate, in defense of their legitimate interests.
