Virgin of Sorrows]

The cloister of the Blue Museum of Holy Week will host on Thursday, at 7:30 p.m., an act of tribute to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the first participation of the Cavalry Squadron in the escort of the blue parade.

The Cavalry Squadron of the Civil Guard, based in the Madrid municipality of Valdemoro, will once again accompany the Stma.

A participation that on this occasion, if possible, becomes more special since it is 20 years since he participated for the first time escorting the image of Our Mother, the Most Holy Virgin of Sorrows, holder of the Brotherhood of Farmers, Paso Blue.

On the occasion of this anniversary, El Paso Azul celebrates an act of thanks to the squadron that will be on Thursday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m., in the cloister of the Blue Museum of Holy Week, MASS.

An event in which the President of the Brotherhood, José María Miñarro, together with members of the Brotherhood will receive the members of the Squadron and in which their first visit will be remembered and a review will be made of the historical images that the participation of the Guard in the Holy Week of Lorca.

The tradition of the Benemérita escorting the owner of the Brotherhood of Labradores is due to the fact that during the second half of the 20th century the Civil Guard on horseback opened the Biblical Passional Parades.

A custom that would be lost when the horse section was eliminated from the city, and managed to recover in 1999, during the last year of Cristóbal Alcolea Paredes's term as President of Paso Azul.

It is worth remembering that in 2008 the Escuadrón received the greatest distinction of the blues, being named the Brotherhood's Honor Steward, a merit that was given to him at the Friday of Sorrows Mass in the church of San Francisco, the religious headquarters of the Blues.

In addition, in the workshops of the Brotherhood were embroidered a series of pieces for the bugle section of the Cavalry Squad as well as its emblem and embroidered shield for the section of the Armed Institute
