Storytelling, collective readings, Gymkhana, talks and reading clubs, among the calendar of activities that has been prepared for the next few days.
The City of Lorca has scheduled more than 40 activities to celebrate the Day of the Book.
These are events that aim to promote the habit of reading as an exercise in personal development, knowledge acquisition and promotion of culture.
This year, as a main activity, and work that illustrates the poster of the program, will develop a collective reading of "The Book of the Jungle", by the writer Rudyard Kipling.
For this, students from secondary schools in the municipality, as well as young people from the Down Lorca Association, will read the full text of the work.
