Pedro Sosa, councilor of Izquierda Unida Verdes in the municipality of Lorca, has presented as part of his electoral program for the upcoming municipal elections, the creation of a new municipal company that is responsible for the maintenance of the city, which are part Limusa and other services such as gardening or maintenance of sports facilities, which are currently outsourced.

According to Sosa, one of the biggest concerns of Lorca, who have collected through the surveys that since its formation have carried out in recent months, is the unfortunate state of cleanliness and conservation that present both its streets, public spaces and municipal facilities.

"Those who come to visit us, say that we do not know how to keep what we have, and if we do not know how to do that, we will not be able to take care of what we want to build".

To alleviate this problem, from IU Verdes bet to re-adapt the current Limusa, which is already responsible for the management of municipal transport, the ORA and street cleaning and interior, a new public body to which services are added whose management is entrusted to private companies, which take the benefits out of Lorca, without this implying a palpable improvement in the service, once the contracts that are in force expire.

Among the services that would return to public management, Sosa has mentioned the maintenance of gardens and sports facilities.

From IU Verdes is committed in this way by a public and effective management to benefit all Lorca, compared to the proposals of other parties, some without prior experience, which are not offering alternatives to the local malaise that there is in this regard.

Throughout these years it has been demonstrated to the citizens and various social groups with whom we have maintained contact, that we are a prepared force to manage the various problems that have arisen, such as the returns of the earthquake aid or the problems with the feedlots, while other forces have remained in profile.

"We have the experience, the structure, the knowledge and above all the contact with the citizens, which should be a priority when preparing the programs, for which we are the useful vote of the left of Lorca," said Sosa.
