The candidate for Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has reiterated his proposal to raise in the old police station of San Vicente a young leisure center, aimed at the adolescent public that today "do not have places to spend their leisure time and free time ", something that ensures" despair to our youth, and also worries fathers and mothers ".
"Our commitment to the youth of Lorca, and also for the strategic reactivation of the Historic Quarter is to raise in the old San Vicente Police Station a young leisure center, a fundamental pillar", reiterated Mateos.
This proposal is opposed to that of the Popular Party, who is still committed to this location new offices for the company Aguas de Lorca.
"After many years, from May there will again be a Mayor and a municipal government, of the PSOE, that will think and work for the young people of the municipality," said Mateos.
"We are committed to helping young people to build a future project in Lorca."
Diego José Mateos, accompanied by Irene Jódar, candidate number 4 of the PSOE to the City of Lorca, have reiterated their battery of measures designed for and by the youth of Lorca.
In addition to the commitment to build a young leisure center taking advantage of the site of the old San Vicente Police Station, which will include the installation of recreational playgrounds, spaces with Wi-Fi, rehearsal rooms or even a small bowling alley and a hall cinema, the PSOE also undertakes to enable 24-hour study rooms, both in the city and in neighborhoods and districts.
A proposal, the latter, with an "immediate" character.
This summer, our students will no longer have to go to Puerto Lumbreras to find this type of space.
In terms of leisure, the PSOE has also committed to rehabilitate the skate track of Santa Clara, and install areas dedicated to the 'parkour'.
In the same way, Mateos and Jódar have reiterated their commitment to recover the Salón del Estudiante, a fair aimed at orienting on the student's future of the young people, which the Popular Party eliminated shortly after accessing the government.
In matters of associationism, Mateos has reiterated that they will launch the Youth Card, which will recover the collaboration agreements between the Lorca City Council and the Youth Council, and they have also announced the creation of the "Festival del Sol", a festival of music adapted to the new times and musical tastes, and to the pocket of the young people of the municipality.
