• The youth groups will have a new Youth Space in the current headquarters of the Popular University, equipped with a 24-hour Study Room and self-managed by the young people themselves to adapt the facilities to their own needs.

The Mayor of Lorca and President of the Popular Party in our city, Fulgencio Gil, has advanced this morning that will launch a new initiative called "Youth Bonus" thanks to which each Lorca who turns 18 will enjoy a Youth Cultural Bonus which will include an entry for a show at the Guerra Theater, another for a Fair and Festival concert or the Lorca cultural program, free registration for a course of your choice at the Popular University, as well as free and free access to museums and exhibition spaces of the city, among other cultural proposals

It is a pioneering proposal in our country, which we consider very attractive for our young people and that we plan to start up as soon as possible, since Lorca has the obligation to meet the demands of the group, responding to their interests in culture and leisure

The young are the future.

It is true.

But also the present.

We want young people to be protagonists of Lorca and for that we propose transversal policies that populate our entire program.

But we wanted the young people of Lorca themselves to define the initiatives to be developed during the next 4 years;

so we have taken our Young Backpack to the groups so they can entrust us with their proposals.

These are the initiatives that they, and therefore we, propose for the next years.

Fulgencio Gil, who has visited today with representatives of the Youth Council the facilities of the new Youth Space that will be located in the Plaza de la Virgen de la Amargura, has indicated that Lorca will start up some first-rate facilities and in the heart of the city for the use and enjoyment of all the youth groups that demand them.

It is about the opening of a new space for young people in the current headquarters of the Popular University.

Thanks to the transfer of this service to the new multipurpose space of the Plaza de San Vicente, we will equip the youth with their own headquarters that complements the facilities of the M13 and provides new services in the center of the city, such as the 24-hour study room, meetings, training spaces, and everything that young Lorca demand.

It will be governed by a self-management approach on the part of the boys and girls of our municipality, in such a way that everything adapts to what they need.

We consider that it is the best way to do it, and for that reason we bet on a new model, in which it is the youth collectives that assume all the protagonism and decide what suits them in each subject.

Fulgencio Gil has anticipated that other issues that already includes the project that we will develop in our city over the next 4 years are:

Creation of a bag of flats for students and young people who find their first job.

Promotion of the fight against cyberbullying through measures such as the school bullying telephone.

Integral renovation of Santa Clara Skate Park.

Housing plan through a bag for young people up to 35 years of age to access a home with a maximum price.

Conducting courses and workshops aimed at improving skills and aptitudes for entrepreneurship, within the educational field.

Creation of a meeting and rehearsal place for young bands to develop their musical abilities.

Promotion of bus lines with districts during weekends and festivities of the municipality.
