The candidate for Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has shown concern about the "paralysis" that affects the contracts for the awarding of works and supplies for the interior equipment of the Auditorium and Conference Center of Lorca.

"Right now, we have the same thing as in Puerto Lumbreras, and Lorca do not want an Auditorium like Puerto Lumbreras."

"Three months have passed since the last time the Popular Party said that, as they said then, in a few days they would start with the tender for the works for the completion of the interior, and not only have not been started, it is that neither are the files of hiring, nor is known what companies are going to be responsible for carrying them out, "warned Mateos.

"We are before the most significant example of the political incapacity of this Mayor and his team when it comes to taking forward the major projects and large infrastructures of the municipality," he warned.

"It has happened to them with the Central Round, it has happened to them with the project of the underpass of San Antonio, it has happened to them with the works in neighborhoods, and it is happening to them with the completion of the interior of the Auditorium", which, he insists, " now there is only the shell. "

"It is intolerable that, after selling with great fanfare, as Lopez Miras did more than a year ago in Lorca, that they had the investment, it is not known where that money is and it is still unknown when the works will begin," he complained.

"We still do not know anything about that announcement that López Miras and Gil Jódar knew how to do, when they assured that they were going to destine 7 million euros for the second phase and the completion of the works of the Auditorium and the center of fairs and congresses".

Mateos has announced that he will demand Gil Jódar "immediate explanations" and for that reason they will request the urgent convocation of an Informative Commission, to force the current PP government team to respond to this question that concerns the mayoral candidate.

"We are about to finish the current mandate and the works are still paralyzed."

The socialist candidate says that "the Lorca deserve to have finished this project, which is already invested about seven million euros."
