The President of the Popular Party of Lorca and mayor of the city, Fulgencio Gil Jódar, has announced the main lines of the program with which his training will attend the next elections on May 26 and which is the fruit "of the experience, of the illusion and many hours of work with groups and neighbors of Lorca who have wanted to share their proposals with us because, once again, together we do Lorca ".

Gil stressed that "behind this program there are no surveys, but dozens of meetings, thousands of conversations and kilometers and kilometers traveled on roads and highways to analyze and propose everything that is necessary for the growth of Lorca. of the Lorca for their city and the desire to improve it and make your municipality a better land. The Popular Party of Lorca shares that pride and desire to continue making a better Lorca, since we have recovered from the economic difficulties and the consequences of the natural tragedies suffered by the municipality, especially the earthquakes of 2011. Now comes the time to carry out a cultural, leisure, social and commercial revolution and we have the ingredients to promote it ".

The mayor has indicated that "the more than one hundred pages of the program are organized into 5 major thematic blocks." Together, a productive municipality "includes measures to boost the economy in the municipality and the productive fabric, especially industry, commerce and our sector primary, committing ourselves to reinforce the status of fair city through the improvement of local samples and promoting new ones, including a large agricultural fair that becomes a showcase for the strength of our agriculture. "

"Together, Lorca for all", proposes social measures for families, the elderly, the creation of a new building to expand the social services provided to Lorca, educational measures, equality, citizen information channels through whatsapp and the creation of the new Health Center of San Cristóbal and the large park in the neighborhood of San Cristóbal, among others ".

"Together, a revolution of the city" includes the cultural, social and leisure revitalization offered by the Coso de Sutullena, measures to reinforce the city's museum offer and a vast leisure program for Lorca and visitors with film festivals, major concerts, Festival of Dance, revitalization of the Alameda as a point of culture, Book Fair "Eliodoro Puche", the Fossil Museum "The Valley of the Shells", Parada Rociera, the creation of a leisure space for young people in the helmet urban, Sabadeando x Lorca or the creation of a motorhome parking with a tourist offer by districts so that visitors have the opportunity to know all the charms of the municipality, among many other measures included in the project "La Joya del Sureste".

In the section "Together, towards a better Lorca" measures are included to promote the historic center through the declaration as a Regional Interest Act, such as reducing tax burdens and flexibilization for merchants and leisure establishments, progressive pedestrianization program , nocturnal tourist routes and the promotion of housing in this area.

On the sporting level, the creation of a large sports fair is proposed, which will make it possible to publicize the work of clubs and schools to promote their practice, healthy itineraries, a payment for any municipal facility and the carrying out of large national sports events. its dynamic character.

Citizen security measures are included, such as the increase in the staff of the Local Police and the creation of a new UPROL Unit for direct surveillance at street level, in addition to completing the installation of security cameras.

Part of this section are measures to promote tourism and motivate Lorca, especially the youngest, to know and publicize their monuments, proposals tending to deseasonalize Holy Week to enjoy it throughout the year, the start-up of the CiuFRONT in the church of Santa María or the reinforcement of the Maria Agustina Contest working with the Secondary schools, besides promoting our most deeply rooted cultural traditions, especially in the area of ​​the districts.

The popular commitment in terms of mobility includes the increase of cyclable kilometers (remembering that it has gone from 0 to more than 30 kms.), Uniting the different sections of the bike path of Alameda de Cervantes, green roads of Cazalla and Carretera de Eagles with a new section from San Fernando to the Mora gasoline.

Regarding the proposals on infrastructure, Gil has announced that "among others we propose to carry out the improvement of the entrance and exit to Lorca between Apolonia and Las Palmeras, as well as the search for financing for the settlement of the Campo highway López a Morata, thus giving solution to the neighborhood demands ".

Precisely the districts and neighborhoods Lorca have a separate section in the popular project: "Together, neighborhoods and districts", which includes global measures to promote the set of Lorca deputies in matters of tax credits, improvement of the Urban Development Plan , green areas, parking, security or rural tourism.

But also include about two hundred concrete measures to be developed in each district of Lorca, as a result of fieldwork of the PP and will be addressed immediately to continue promoting the whole municipal term.
