The Councilor for Public Safety of the City of Lorca, Belén Pérez Martínez, announced that members of the UPROL Unit of the Local Police have proceeded to the arrest of two individuals as perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force and another crime against road safety , given the circumstance that one of the authors had two court orders of search, arrest and detention for other crimes against property.

The mayor has reported that "within the actions aimed at the prevention of criminal acts, on the afternoon of this Wednesday, shortly before 19:00, agents of the UPROL unit made a device in Santa Paula Street when they observed that a vehicle He seemed to carry very heavy merchandise, since the back part was expired, for this reason he proceeded to control it, causing it to stop and identifying the two occupants. "

The agents discovered that the driver had judicial orders for search, arrest and detention for crimes against property, as well as lacking a driving license because it had been withdrawn after the loss of all points, a circumstance that constituted a possible crime against the road safety;

the subject was arrested for all these reasons.

The police proceeded to carry out a check of the interior of the vehicle, detecting the existence of a total of twelve batteries: one of vehicle and eleven of large industrial type, as well as some gloves, a box containing terminals of electricity with terminals and various tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, chisel and spanner.

The value of the allegedly stolen effects amounts to 6,500 euros, to which we should add the damage perpetrated in the facilities.

For all these reasons the vehicle was immobilized and moved to the municipal warehouse, as well as all the allegedly stolen material that was placed at the disposal of the competent authority, in addition to arresting both subjects and transferring the corresponding proceedings to the Judicial Authority.
