José Luis Alvárez Castellanos, candidate of Change the Region of Murcia (IU) to the Presidency of the CARM, and Pedro Sosa, candidate of United Left-Green to the City of Lorca, have accompanied Jaime García in the departure of the classic race urban "Run X Lorca" that commemorates the anniversary of the fateful earthquake of Lorca on May 11, 2011.

Jaime García, who is number 5 on the municipal list of IU in Lorca, as well as being an engineer, teacher and monologist, is an elite athlete who competes in races, swimming and other sports disciplines, always claiming "accessible sport" for that in Lorca and in the Region of Murcia it is guaranteed that all sports modalities have a category for people with functional diversity.

Jaime explained that in Lorca the group of people with different capacities is composed of no less than 9,348 people, 10% of the local population that has different physical, mental or sensory abilities and on which it is necessary to raise public policies from the City Council effective to guarantee their rights.

The candidate of IU-V considers that the public work developed in recent years in Lorca as a result of the earthquake of 2011 has not been particularly sensitive to their collective and that has not taken advantage of this investment in streets, squares and public buildings to redesign timely the city and make it more accessible.

Jaime does not want anyone to help him push his wheelchair, he wants a city and an accessible region, with planning and urban planning that respects the rights of his group, with accessible public services, with accessible sports, and today he came with a poster in his wheelchair saying "Thank you, but I do not need help, help me on May 26", and he wants to be a town councilor to change everything in Lorca, from experience, in terms of accessibility.
