Diego José Mateos: "The goal of the PSOE is to achieve the best educational infrastructure for Lorca with which to guarantee equity, stability and excellence in Public Education" (14/05/2019)

The PSOE proposes solutions for a public education "of quality" in the municipality of Lorca, highlighting the need to create a new educational center in the San Diego area, to install pergolas and shading in the courtyards of schools, claiming that teaching Postobligatoria can enjoy free transport to their centers, or that some educational centers can open in the afternoon for the use of their facilities

The candidate for Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, along with the candidates for council, María Ángeles Mazuecos and Antonia Pérez, have made known the solutions that the PSOE, through its SOL project, raises in education.

About half a hundred measures taken after four years of intense work, by the hand of the groups and professionals of education.

"The goal of the PSOE is to ensure the best educational infrastructure for Lorca, with which to ensure equity, stability and excellence in Public Education," said Mateos.

"It is time to reverse the austere, restrictive policies that have been applied both in this City Council and in the Autonomous Community, and that have resulted in this Region being one of the highest rates of school absenteeism," insisted Mateos, who bet for a model of Public Education "consolidated, solvent and guarantee" of equal opportunities in the municipality.

Mateos has highlighted the need for the City of Lorca is "vindicative" to get the improvements that the municipality needs, in Education.

"Counseling has to ensure that our centers have their expenses for operation in a timely manner."

In addition, they have raised the need that Lorca, as in Murcia and Cartagena, has a "single district" for the choice of schools, and also fight to get the construction of a new center in the San Diego area to end the "massification" of students per classroom.

For its part, Mazuecos and Perez have reiterated the commitment of the PSOE to give continuity to the "important work" that is making the adult education center. "In addition, they have highlighted their commitment to expand the Conservatory of Music of Lorca and also of guarantee a building for the Official Language School "central and better communication" with which also recover the educational offer suppressed by the Popular Party governments and the implementation of new languages.

The installation of pergolas in schools and the air conditioning of classrooms;

the installation of desfribiladores or the incorporation of the figure of the school nurses in the schools of the municipality, are also measures collected in the SOL project.

Both candidates have also reiterated the commitment of the PSOE to enable study rooms with a 24-hour schedule both in the city and in districts, to recover the Student Hall, and also to fight so that post-compulsory education can enjoy free transport to their centers deformation

Similarly, they have highlighted the commitment that the PSOE wants to make for education from 0 to 3 years, as they ensure "we will promote the reduction of prices and free for lower income families, aimed at a universal and free model", widening the places of education between 0 and 3 years, to achieve the reconciliation of work and family life.

Another of the novel measures that the PSOE proposes in its SOL project is to open, in a controlled manner, different educational centers that cover different areas of Lorca in the afternoon, as a promotion of school, cultural, social and fundamentally sports support.
