• The PSOE marginalizes Lorca again, forgetting about the renewal planned in the New Train Purchase Plan and announced by Renfe.
A year later we still have no news about it and we will not allow this commitment to be broken.
The head of Development of the Popular Party of Lorca, Angel Meca, has demanded the Ministry of Development to explain what is happening with the plan that the Popular Party had approved and launched to completely renew the convoys of trains neighborhoods that connect Lorca with Murcia and Águilas.
This is a commitment that was able to start the national executive of Mariano Rajoy, but which has not been heard again.
With the renovation of our commuter trains is happening the same as with other investments that were planned for our municipality but that the PSOE decides to question, stop and take the money to another site.
I want to remember that exactly one year ago we welcomed the news of the change of these old trains and we even had an agreement with the Ministry of Development to invest 8 million euros for Lorca to have some trains in conditions, to replace to the old and uncomfortable current convoys.
Such is the case that both Renfe and the government of Spain closed an agreement so that the New Trains Purchase Plan included the new models, more modern railways, fast, comfortable, comfortable and ecological, which would have better access to people with mobility problems
Once again the investments that the Popular Party had obtained for Lorca are suppressed because of the PSOE.
And again without offering any explanation.
That is why we demand that the central government offer clear and precise information about whether it intends to provide Lorca with the trains that we already had committed.
From Lorca we demand that the agreement be respected and that those 8 million euros for our new trains remain in our city.
The commuter service is used daily by many Lorca, especially by workers and students, for whom we claim modern trains, since what we now have are the oldest units that exist in all of Spain.
Ángel Meca has stated that it is time for the central government to stop mistreating Lorca in railway matters, in fact they have to fulfill the historical debt that this country has with our municipality for having closed in the 80 lines that communicated with Almería and Granada.
That cut was a real disaster for both Lorca and our neighbors of Andalusian municipalities.
It is time to begin to compensate for that irresponsibility perpetrated by the PSOE when he ruled in Lorca, Murcia and Madrid.
The head of the PP in the field of development has regretted that Lorca continues to be marginalized within the plans of arrival of the AVE and burial, which the PSOE continues to delay while we see how in other territories multiply investments and expand projects.
