In this edition, students from the schools Ciudad del Sol, Villaespesa, Andrés García Soler, San Francisco de Asís, Juan González, Madre de Dios-Mothers Mercedarias, Narciso Yepes, San José, Ana Caicedo Richard, Casa del Niño and Pasico- Campillo

The Hall of Acts of the Cultural Center Mayor José María Campoy welcomed this morning the awards ceremony for the winners of the XXXIV Children's Story Contest "Premio María Fernández-Luna" organized by the Municipal Libraries Network of Lorca.

In this edition 1,329 individual and 18 collective stories have attended, which means a participation of 1,850 students from 11 schools, which shows that Lorca is a literary city in which children enjoy reading and writing.

The jury, chaired by Councilor of Education Francisco Montiel, has been formed by Professors Ginesa Rodríguez, Encarna Alarcón, Alejandra Méndez, Mª Huertas García, the graduate in Fine Arts Mónica Rodríguez, the cultural coordinator of the City Council, Santos Campoy, and the staff librarian.

These have been the winners:

Group A: FOR CHILDHOOD EDUCATION:

• 1st PRIZE: "The magic class" Classroom 5 years B, CEIP Ana Caicedo Richard.

• 2nd PRIZE: "The magnificent, wonderful, unique and unique book of croquettes" Classroom 3 years A, San Francisco de Asís School.

• 3rd PRIZE: "I am ..., I like ..., my color" Classroom of 4 years A, of the San Francisco de Asís School

GROUP B: FOR STUDENTS OF 1ST and 2ND PRIMARY EDUCATION:

• 1st PRIZE: "Fly in trouble" Trinidad Morente Cuadrado, 1st grade of Primary, Colegio Madre de Dios Mercedarias.

• 2nd PRIZE: "Gonzalo the monster" Cristian García González, 1st of Primary, CEIP Andrés García Soler.

• 3rd PRIZE: "Macarrón Shark" Guillermo Chuecos Periago, 1st Primary, CEIP Andrés García Soler.

• 1st FINALIST: "The octopus that wanted to play" Noelia Pérez-Chuecos Terrones, 1st of Primary, CEIP Villaespesa.

• 2nd FINALIST: "The giant and the dinosaur" Antonio García García, 2nd Primary, San Francisco de Asís School.

GROUP C: FOR STUDENTS OF 3 ° and 4 ° OF PRIMARY EDUCATION:

• 1st PRIZE: "A crazy day" Candela Ruiz Jódar, 3rd grade of Primary School, Ciudad del Sol School.

• 2nd PRIZE: "My magic room" Blanca Lario García, of 4 Primary School, Ciudad del Sol School.

• 3rd PRIZE: "The Umami meteorite" Claudia Ponce García, 4th grade of Primary, Colegio Madre de Dios Mercedarias.

• 1st FINALIST: "A journey with emotions" Marta Guillén Romera, 4th year of Primary, CEIP Narciso Yepes.

• 2nd FINALIST: "Laura and the world of music" Sofía Guirao Díaz, 3rd grade of Primary, Colegio Madre de Dios Mercedarias.

GROUP D: FOR STUDENTS OF 5 ° and 6 ° of PRIMARY EDUCATION:

• 1st PRIZE: "Better some pizzas" Matías Rafael Martínez Sangüesa, 5th grade of Primary School, Ciudad del Sol School.

• 2nd PRIZE: "Inventurer" Ariana Sen Koree, 6th Primary, CEIP San José.

GROUP E: FOR PRIMARY EDUCATION STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS.

SPECIAL PRIZE OF ILLUSTRATION: "A dream fulfilled", by Yolanda Jódar Martínez, 5th grade of Primary School, of the Ciudad del Sol School.

Students from the schools Ciudad del Sol, Villaespesa, Andrés García Soler, San Francisco de Asís, Juan González, Madre de Dios-Madres Mercedarias, Narciso Yepes, San José, Ana Caicedo Richard, Casa del Niño and Pasico- Campillo and the awards have been delivered by the Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil.
