It is a new security tool whose effectiveness has been contrasted to combat vandalism, perform surveillance tasks and multiply the effectiveness of police patrols both in urban areas and in our districts.
The City of Lorca has acquired a new security tool that has been incorporated into the resources already available to the staff of the Local Police.
It is a last generation drone that will be used exclusively in tasks of citizen security.
Along with this resource, which already have other police in our country, one of the agents has been instructed through the training and accrediting course with official status that allows full, effective and adequate control of the drone.
The Consistory has incorporated this tool with the aim that the Local Police continue to have the most modern resources to ensure the safety of Lorca.
This device allows the police to exponentially increase the effectiveness of conducting surveillance in public areas (parks, squares, institutes, schools, pedestrian areas, etc.) to prevent vandalism and concentrations of bottles, in addition to being especially operational in search of people disappeared, vigilance in rural areas to prevent thefts in homes and agricultural robberies, in addition, to develop surveillance to locate possible perpetrators of arson or the commission of other criminal acts.
The functionality of this aerial technological device shows its special operation in the surveillance that the police team that manages it takes place in districts, garden areas, and large areas of agri-food crops as you can see what is happening from considerable distances, following the model of work that is being carried out by the National Police in other regions of Murcia, as is the case of Campo de Cartagena.
The drone allows carrying out tasks of preventive control in large human concentrations, on the occasion of sports, religious, cultural or leisure events, in addition, to enable the surveillance and protection of security zones, access control, bordering public facilities and external access.
It is also effective as a means of support in the realization of joint controls with the State Security Forces and Forces, allowing the surveillance of areas of evasion or flight of the same.
Other uses of maraca utility are the surveillance and visual control of sports test itineraries and their development, vigilance in coastal areas, operations on fire zones to check magnitude and coordinate emergency services, interventions in catastrophes or adverse meteorological phenomena, as well as as a means of support in case of traffic accidents, including accidents with dangerous goods, in addition to allowing visual access to rescue areas in swamps or coasts.
The drone with which the Local Police has lorquina has a maximum flight height of 120 meters from the point of takeoff, being its maximum flight distance of up to 13 kilometers, and a total autonomy of 1 hour and a half.
