More than 300 Lorca students participate in the XXII School Theater Contest that is celebrated today and tomorrow at the Guerra Theater (11/06/2019)

The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, along with Javier Aznar, area manager of the Obra Social "la Caixa", have presented the XXII School Theater Contest that will take place during the evenings of Tuesday and Wednesday at the Theater War of Lorca.

The mayor stressed that "this recognized event is the best showcase to enjoy the work that throughout the course have developed more than 330 primary students of the municipality through its educational centers. Up to 15 works can be enjoyed during these two days in the Teatro Guerra, performed by the young students of 10 Lorca schools and the Popular University, with the opportunity for the young actors to make their debut on the tables of the oldest theater in the Region of Murcia as a reward for their good work in the world of acting "

The program will start this afternoon at 5.30 pm with the official opening for, at 17.40, begin with the performances.

The students of the CRA Zarcilla de Ramos will represent in the first place the play "Pandora's Box", written and directed by Rosa de Lima Mellado Gris.

Next the students of the CEIP Villaespesa will put on the tables "The adventures that count the ocas", work of Silvia Díaz Gómez, who also directs it.

"What a princess!"

will be represented by the school of the CEIP Virgen de las Huertas, with the address of Ana Belén Pérez Olmo.

The CEIP Almendricos participates in the Contest with the work "Mi Elemento", based on the homonymous book by Ken Robinson and directed by María José Artero Mena.

"The Phantom Mansion" will be the second work performed by students of the CEIP Virgen de las Huertas, directed on this occasion by Helena Flores Ramírez.

On the other hand, the students of CEIP Alfonso X will offer "La Parranda", adaptation of the libretto by Luis Fernández Ardavin under the direction of Inma Guillén.

Tuesday's program will conclude with the performance of "A cake for the king", written and directed by Raúl Rey, in charge of the students of the Popular University.

Tuesday's program will start with "El libro de la selva" adaptation of the popular narrative by Rudyard Kipling interpreted by CEIP students José Robles and directed by María Isabel Esteban Fernández.

The students of the CEIP Ana Caicedo will represent "The keys of the dreams", work of Ana Meilán directed by Ascensión Cortijos Sánchez and Ana Jesús Soto Martínez.

"El viaje solidario de Sara", adaptation of "El viaje al Planeta Flind", will be the work performed by the students of CEIP San Cristóbal, directed by Mari Carmen Marín Giménez.

From the CEIP Juan González will be uploaded to the tables two works, "We are equal", of collective creation, and "There is something more boring than being a pink princess" by Raquel Díaz, both directed by Pilar Perán.

The CEIP Ana Caicedo will have a second performance with the play "The wart of the Queen", adaptation of the work of Reinado Jiménez directed by Inmaculada Guillén.

The finale of the contest will come from the students of CEIP San José who will represent "Da Vinci's Fables" in two parts, both directed by María José Sánchez López and María Isabel Segura Ibarra.

The Councilor for Education has offered his "congratulations to all actors and actresses, directors and schools for joining this traditional event that allows you to benefit from all the virtues of theater."
