The elected councilor of Izquierda Unida-Verdes in Lorca, Gloria Martín, has denounced the circulatory danger that has generated the opening of a fast food restaurant of the Burger King chain on the Old Port road.
The long queues that form at the entrance are generating retentions on the fast track RM11, at the height of the next roundabout, regulated by traffic lights.

The vehicles that circulate on the fast track suddenly find themselves with a retention that causes them to have to brake suddenly, which entails a risk of multiple collisions.
To this we must add that some vehicles park in the streets adjacent to the establishment, hindering the traffic lanes and preventing the flow of traffic.
For Martin, the situation could be reversed by changing the entrance to the fast food restaurant, so that it was carried out along the road to Vera, leaving the Viejo del Puerto road as a way out.
In this regard, he lamented the lack of planning carried out by the City Council, as well as the lack of vigilance on the part of the Local Police in a situation that is being denounced by many neighbors.
Martín has also warned that the environment of another restaurant of these characteristics, in this case the Mc Donalds chain, located in the vicinity of the previous one, is full of papers and packaging.
The councilor of IU-Greens has appealed to the "citizenship" of the clients of this establishment so that the area does not become a "dump", whose cleaning must be paid for by all Lorca.
The councilor of IU-Greens has demanded "control and planning" for which it is called to become the "mile Lorca cholesterol" (it is planned to open another restaurant of the KFC chain) does not become a source of dirt and in a point of circulatory chaos.
