A researcher from Lorca makes a thesis on female entrepreneurship in the city of the Sun (28/06/2019)

The main objective of the study that Piedad Miñarro is developing is "the identification of the most relevant competences of female entrepreneurs and their degree of significance with respect to entrepreneurship".

The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Antonia Perez, explained that a student from the University of Murcia, Piedad Miñarro Casáu, is doing a thesis on female entrepreneurship in our city.

Perez has detailed that "this research, studies the difficulties that women find when undertaking in the Lorca municipality and has as its main objective the identification of the most relevant skills of women entrepreneurs and their degree of significance with respect to the entrepreneurship ".

For its part, the author of the study, Piedad Miñarro Casáu, pointed out that "representatives of all political parties, without exception, participate and contribute together in the realization of this thesis about female entrepreneurship in Lorca."

And he has appreciated the predisposition, an example of collaboration between all Lorca parties, for a good cause.

Miñarro Casáu has stated that "this thesis is being carried out within the Doctorate Program in Society, Development and Labor Relations of the University of Murcia and whose line of research is the analysis of Social Processes, Territorial Development and Cooperation, with Angel tutors Olaz and Pilar Ortiz ".

With this, Miñarro aims to contribute, "to enhance the business activity of this group and through it, promote their employment, achieve the empowerment and effective equality of women, as well as encourage the economic recovery of the city" .

The methodology used was the Nominal Group Technique (TGN), which allows the diagnosis and intervention in social reality and has been previously done with different profiles related to entrepreneurship in Lorca.

For this work we have counted with the collaboration of representatives of different political parties, PSOE (Antonia Pérez), PP (Maite Martínez), IU (Gloria Marín), Vox (María del Carmen Menduiña and José Martínez), Ciudadanos (Mirian Morales) ) and Podemos (Pilar Perán).
