Lorca fulfills a full year with the works that had to be underway to build its new Palace of Justice completely stopped, with the consequent uncertainty existing both in the municipality in general and in the field of professionals in the field of law in particular.

We must point out that from the Popular Party we have demanded along with the different Professional Associations of the sector that the new judicial offices should be maintained in the historical center.
A claim that after many efforts and intense work by those responsible for the PP, was achieved.
In fact we also achieved through an initiative of our Mayor, Fulgencio Gil, to redefine the term of execution of these works in half, which initially was to be 4 years, but he managed to cut in half.
Today just 6 months ago we were told from the Ministry that a modified case of the project that led to the official suspension of the works was being processed.
The reality is that because of a lack of central government negligence and its inability to unblock this issue, we have another year lost and an investment of 10 million blocked.
The popular have indicated that what we are finding since the arrival of the PSOE to power in Madrid is a systematic blockade to everything that has to do with the construction of our Palace of Justice.
This is also assuming a strong slowdown to development and activity in the historic center.
It is clear that an infrastructure of this size entails the revitalization of the area in which it is located, in the heart of the historic center.
Because of the inaction and lack of sensitivity of the PSOE government, Lorca is losing a historic opportunity for the field of Justice and to give life to its historic center.
The councilors Lorca have said that "from Lorca we will not allow this project to remain stagnant, much less to throw it back and try to remove it from the historic center, which is a possibility that some are already beginning to talk. We are going to oppose it head on.The struggle that we have developed together with society is not going to allow it to fall down now because of a government that has forgotten Lorca.
The reality is that the works have been completely stopped for a year, they have not put a brick and it is generating a great concern among the different groups of professionals of Justice, who do not understand how, after all we have achieved and have the necessary financing and the awarded work, we have to endure new delays.
From the PP insists is that it is a project in which we arrived late, and whose implementation is pending all the group of professionals of the Justice of the region.
We do not want to imagine that this investment is not respected and is a bargaining chip to pay the concessions of the Central Government with its radical and pro-independence partners, and to clear up doubts, we Lorca want the work to resume and put an end to this uncertainty.
PP Lorca has stressed that it will do everything necessary to materialize the new Palace of Justice, a city project that guarantees space for our judicial headquarters for a period of at least 50 years, and is a very special case within the panorama of this type of infrastructures, since Lorca is the only city in which a unified judicial office is currently being built in the heart of the historic case.
This project includes an ambitious task of recovering the monumental heritage, an advantage to which we must add the integral improvement of Selgas street.
The popular have explained that Lorca has seven courts of first instance and instruction and two criminal courts.
The impossibility of the current Palace of Justice to host new judicial bodies has meant that the courts that have been created over the last few years are currently spread out in four different locations in the city.
This dispersion causes numerous damages and discomforts to officials, professionals and citizens.
