July 18.
The Popular Parliamentary Group has registered this morning a Proposal of Law in which it requests to extend six months the term of presentation of the justifications of the aids destined to repair the houses affected by the earthquakes in Lorca.
The deputy spokesperson of the PP in the Regional Assembly, Mª del Carme Ruiz, explained that the proposal "aims to give six months more to 1,479 families to present the report justifying the expenses."
"We are always on the side of citizens, and in this case, we had to give more leeway to Lorca who have received aid to collect the documentation and can submit it in a timely manner."
"The deadline expires on July 25 and 50% of the accounts justifying the aid received have not yet been presented," said the regional deputy of the Popular Party who has encrypted in 1,269 records registered so far.
Ruíz Jódar has said that with the law "we want to avoid having families that have to return the aid because they do not have enough time to present the supporting documentation," he said.
The autonomic parliament of the PP has requested the collaboration of the city of Lorca in the work of disseminating the new deadlines so that "the information reaches all the beneficiaries of the extension of the deadlines."
"Also that the consistory put at your disposal the necessary means to complete the documentation they must submit," he added.
The ruling proposal of the Popular Party adds the following paragraph to Article 2 of Law 8/2018, of July 23, Lorca aid: "Notwithstanding the foregoing, the deadline for submitting the justifying account will be expandable in six months , extension that will have to be requested by the interested party and that will have character of maximums.
