The councilor of United Left Greens in the City council of Lorca, Gloria Martin, will elevate to the ordinary municipal Plenary of the month of July a motion to urge to the "correction" of the Proposal of Law presented / displayed yesterday in the regional Assembly by the Popular Group to the object to modify Law 8/2018, of July 23, of Lorca aid.
For Martin, the amendment to the Law proposed by the PP does not solve the problem that, a few days after the end of the term, only half of those affected have accepted the formula of the simplified account that established the Autonomous Law for abbreviate the processing of the aid.

The councilor of IU-Greens also asks that the Proposition of Law contemplates other amendments to the articles of the norm "to propose solutions to other pending cases of resolution and to avoid that this painful bureaucratic process turns the aids into a sentence for the affected families".
For this reason, it has demanded that the Law be applicable to the files of the communities of owners and those in which the sum of the aid and compensation of the Insurance Compensation Consortium does not exceed "the real cost of the works".
"We must interpret the Law under the most beneficial criteria for those affected and, in both cases, what we are asking for is contemplated in Decree 68/2011, of May 16, which regulates the aid".
The motion of IU will also urge the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure of the Region of Murcia to immediately and urgently proceed to close the files affected by the prescription of the right of the Administrations to demand the reimbursement of aid granted , as well as its effective communication to the interested parties.
It also asks the General Directorate of Territory and Housing to, exceptionally, propose to the Mixed Commission the extension of the twelve-month period for carrying out the repair works if justified reasons so advise.
Finally, IU will once again request the City Council to urge the Government of Spain to cancel the late payment interest generated by the reimbursement procedure.
