The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has shown his satisfaction for the approval, this morning, in the Regional Assembly unanimously of a joint law proposal of all parliamentary groups that extends the deadline to present these justifications for six months, now that the term expired this Thursday, July 25.

Diego José Mateos has valued that "in this new regulation, the requests that we held in the Assembly that a few days ago with the Platform of People Affected by the return of the aid have been collected, specifically, not only has the term been extended for another six months , to allow time for the processing of all the files and to be able to justify such aid, but also have included other assumptions that can be accepted such as the communities of owners who until now could not do so because they are not natural persons , and those people who received a double subsidy, on the one hand of the public aid and on the other of the Insurance Compensation Consortium but who have been able to prove that the money was invested for the arrangement of their home. "

Mateos recalled that "in just one month 700 files have been processed in the Earthquake Office thanks to the reinforcement of technical and administrative staff that we did with the aim of accelerating and arriving on time, a pace of work that is giving us very good result and with which we will continue, so that once this new six-month term expires, all Lorca and Lorca, who really invested that money in the arrangement of their homes, can once and for all close this wound and we can look forward and not have to be looking back eight years. "

The mayor has also had words of thanks to the Socialist Parliamentary Group and other groups that have made it possible for this new Law to move forward.
