The PP proposes to take advantage of the lot that leaves the previous Limusa logistics base in front of Felipe VI free to create a new parking lot with 105 parking spaces (25/07/2019)

• A parking area would be generated very close to the sports center for those who travel to these facilities either to carry out their sports activity, or to accompany minors who go to the different courses offered by this center, or to attend as a public to any of the many sporting events that are held there.

The Councilor of the Popular Party in the City of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, has proposed that the site currently occupied by the former logistics center of the Limusa municipal company, located between the Felipe VI Sports Complex and the railroad track, be adequate and intended a parking, especially useful for users of the aforementioned sports complex, which would have an area of greater capacity to leave their vehicles.

This is a proposal with which the Lorca would anticipate the loss of parking spaces that will occur in Felipe VI on the occasion of the works of section 2 of the evacuation round, which are currently under execution.

Juan Miguel Bayonas has stated that in this way we are able to offer a parking area very close to the sports center to those who move to these facilities either to perform their sports activity, or to accompany the children who go to the different courses that offers this center, or to attend as a public any of the many sporting events that are held there.

From the PP they have indicated that the number of subscribers of the Felipe VI Sports Complex has been increasing substantially after the reform carried out in 2015.In the last year, specifically, the figure has increased above 8%, exceeding the Total number of monthly average subscribers 1,300, in addition to the more than 600 trainees who benefit from these facilities daily.

Thus, added to the rest of the users, they place the average daily users above 2,500 people.

Juan Miguel Bayonas explained that last year we redistributed the parking space to gain more parking spaces, and make them available to users, making an investment by the Department of Sports and painting new places in areas that were not used For this end.

Even so, on the days of maximum influx of users and the public that attends the different sporting events, the parking lot remains small, assuming this is an inconvenience for people who travel there.

From the Popular Party, we understand that there is a great opportunity to recover the number of parking spaces, even earning some more, and we can put them at the service of athletes who travel to the Felipe VI Sports Complex, taking advantage of entering the main road of The evacuation round and the new branch of the Cartagena road will be a space that was previously occupied by the former Limusa Logistics Center.

The new parking area we propose has an area of approximately 2,100 m2, which is equivalent to the creation of a total of 105 new parking spaces.

Therefore, we propose the creation of this new parking area, obviously providing it with the corresponding security and lighting and also, that the branch of the Cartagena road is provided with a crosswalk located opposite the main access of the Felipe VI Sports Complex, with the aim that users who park in this area can cross safely.
