The land on which the former Limusa logistics base was located is included in the construction project for Section 2 of the Central Round (25/07/2019)

The documents available to the Department of Development of the City of Lorca show that the construction of a roundabout that connects the Central Round with the South Round is planned in the area.

The Spokesman of the Government Team in the City of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, has shown her surprise "at the proposal to create new parking spaces on the site where the former Limusa logistics base was located, carried out this morning by the Popular Party. "

Casalduero wanted to "thank the interest now shown by the PP" but explained that "the initiative is impossible since the proposed land was made available to the Regional Government during the last months of its own legislature with the objective of carrying out the works of Section 2 of the Central Round ".

The spokeswoman detailed that "Limusa's management received a statement last summer requesting the urgent transfer of the logistics base of the municipal cleaning company to another area on the occasion of the construction of this new section of connection in the city. A transfer that, in addition, has cost Lorca 36,400 euros due to the rental, for 11 months, of temporary warehouses and parking areas for trucks and cleaning machinery until the completion of the new base. "

Casalduero Jódar explained that "specifically, the documents that we have in the Department of Development show that the creation of a roundabout that will communicate Section 2 of the Central Round with the South Round is planned on this site" and has ensured that they do not understand "What could have happened, if it is a confusion, nervousness, lack of knowledge on the subject or communication problems between the popular municipal group and their colleagues in Murcia."

The spokeswoman has celebrated that "despite the mistake that seems to have been, we celebrate that the Popular Party, although 12 years late, has decided to forget its policy to eliminate parking spaces and join the socialist proposal to alleviate the serious shortage of parking areas that Lorca suffers, largely generated by themselves. "

Isabel Casalduero, in addition, has assured that "although this land cannot be taken into account, if they continue to propose other servibles, they will be studied, and if they are viable, they will be incorporated into all those found by the Socialist Party in just over a month ".
