• It is about taking advantage of the ample space left free by the current Limusa car park and the municipal vehicle depot in front of the Huerto de la Rueda.

This measure, included in the PP Parking Plan, could start in a matter of a few weeks.

The Councilor of the Popular Party in the City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martínez, has proposed the creation of 450 new parking spaces totally free for Lorca, taking advantage of the space that will be free in the coming weeks for the transfer of the current Limusa car park and the municipal vehicle depot.

Martínez Carrasco explained that we are talking about one of the issues that we had already planned to execute by the Popular Party, and given its special usefulness and practical nature for citizens, we believe that Lorca cannot miss this opportunity to offer citizens a comfortable, safe and free parking next to the Huerto de la Rueda fairgrounds and the Santa Quiteria Fair and Congress Center.

The Councilor of the Popular Party has indicated that on the occasion of the completion of the works of the new logistics center of Limusa, the municipal vehicle depot and the control team that serves both this service and access control, they move to the new facilities.

Therefore, the space currently occupied by the parking lot and the municipal warehouse will be empty.

We are talking about approximately 450 free parking spaces available to all citizens during the 365 days of the year.

We also ask that a battery of places for people as mobility problems be enabled in this enclave.

It is a particularly functional space, accentuated during the days in which the weekly market is held, as well as in events as prominent as the events hosted by the Santa Quiteria Fairs and Congress Center and the September Fair and Festivities .

Its entry into operation can be done immediately, satisfying the existing parking needs in our city with virtually no additional need for investment by the City Council, so it would be available in a matter of a few weeks at zero cost to all citizens.

In the medium term, we also propose the suitability of establishing a direct communication service between this parking area, the oval and the historic center, a service that would multiply the possibilities and the usefulness of the parking lot.
