Limusa will expand and strengthen the cleaning and garbage collection service during this month of August (06/08/2019)

The mayor of Public Companies, Francisco Morales, will propose in the next Board of Directors of the company "the creation of new jobs" through a selection process "more objective, egalitarian, impartial and transparent"

The Councilor for Public Companies of the City of Lorca, Francisco Morales, announced this morning that the municipal cleaning company, Limusa will reinforce and expand “cleaning services and garbage collection, within a day of seven extra hours, two days to the week, during these weeks of August with the aim of ending the dirt, something that all Lorca are demanding so much â€.

The Councilor for Public Companies has pointed out that “another of the urgent measures that will be proposed in the next Board of Directors, given the needs of existing staff, will be to create new jobs in Limusa in a formal, regulated selection process , more objective, egalitarian, impartial and transparent, in which candidates can access their exams, know their qualification and that the fact that they can work or not be governed by the grade obtained, always attending to objective criteria and not subjective criteria of personnel selection by finger, maintaining those exams so that they can be reviewed by the interested parties â€, and wanted to make it clear that“ the disappearance of exams, something intolerable, that the previous PP government team did will not be carried out with his CEO, Juan Francisco Martínez Carrasco, at the head â€.

Morales said that "today Limusa has to face a reduction of more than 40 percent of the workforce, since the 21 workers who are enjoying their well-deserved vacation, join 16 others who are on leave due to illness and licenses, and another that is developing its work in the Center for Waste Management due to staff needs, a situation that the head of the cleaning service itself states, which is causing “an overload of work for employees, if the tasks are extended and we reduce the personnel the workers are not in the best conditions carrying out more tasks than they would correspond â€.

On this new selective process, says the councilor, "it must be something imminent because it is not a situation that workers are facing now, but they have been suffering for years, so we do not understand how it has not been solved before, it is not a question of benefits, but to attend to the interests of workers and also of Lorca. â€

The mayor has stated that "for this new selection process, the needs of all the services currently provided by the company will be analyzed and through a study the number of workers with which the workforce should be reinforced will be determined".

Something that the councilor has insisted again "must be approved by the Board of Directors of the company, which is the body responsible for making decisions", and in this regard has referred to the possibility of recovering the figure of the Manager, as They pointed out from the Popular Party a few weeks ago, “it is not something that the current government team has proposed or proposed since that decision on the best way to manage the company, whether it will be through a manager or a CEO, the will take that Council with representatives of all political parties.

And he has insisted that "this series of problems that the company is currently facing are caused by the sudden resignation of the former CEO leaving the workers with pending issues", and has again insisted on "the need for respect the rights of the workers of the ORA but always doing it by taking agreements in accordance with the principles of legality, a situation that will be resolved as soon as possible for what I ask the rest of the political forces for their support â€.
