The Councilor for Social Services and the Mayor of the City of Lorca, María Dolores Martínez Chumillas, has announced that "during this month of August the schedule of the Civic Center of the San Cristóbal neighborhood will be reinforced to meet the needs of the elderly in this area of Lorca. "
The Councilor for Social Services has specified that the schedule will be extended to the afternoons from 4 pm to 7 pm and on Saturday mornings from 9:30 am to 12 noon.
Martínez Chumillas recalled that "it is about addressing a claim that comes from the neighbors associated with this Civic Center and that from this group they have sent us through the president of this group, Jesús Segura".
Chumillas recalled that the neighbors meet daily in these facilities that have become a place of meeting and meeting, where they exchange impressions and "throw some games, among others."
The Civic Center of the Barrio de San Cristóbal has a reception, gym, offices for groups, lounge and cafeteria, auditorium, courses and workshops rooms, social room, multipurpose room and municipal services.
In addition, these facilities also include the offices of the Department of the Mayor.
