The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Antonia Pérez, has realized this morning at a press conference of the different repair, maintenance and adaptation works that are being carried out in the different educational centers of the municipality taking advantage of the summer holidays.
The mayor of Education has detailed that "they are taking advantage of these days in which there are no classes for the set-up by carrying out a series of works requested by the centers themselves and that they will be completed by the time the school year planned for next 10 begins of September".
Pérez Segura stressed that "in total more than twenty performances will be carried out in 17 schools that will involve an investment of almost 20,000 euros, in the list of works we find improvements such as repair of fences until adequacy of the toilets, plumbing facilities, until improvements in the accesses to the centers and works of locksmith, among others ".
Specifically, in the CEIP Casa del Niño, punctual repairs are being carried out on the façade cladding, with the authorization of the General Directorate of Cultural Property, the exterior plinth of the lateral general façade that was deteriorated in addition to the arrangement of detachments in the interior access facade.
In the CEIP Ana Caicedo Richard is going to carry out the closing of a wall in the perimeter of the gym where the glazed cloths that are damaged by the acts of vandalism to which they have been subjected lately are going to be removed.

Work has also been carried out at the CEIP Petra González de La Paca with the painting of walls and ceilings of the two classrooms for children's education, toilets and the access distributor, as well as the cleaning and waterproofing of one of the gutters of the cover and repair of the wall that separates the two classrooms of the building.

In the CEIP of La Campana the damaged sockets of one of the children's education classrooms have been replaced, as well as the coating in poor condition of one of the walls of this area and the arrangement of several wooden interior doors that did not close properly , and the repair of the fence of the sports court.
Also in this same school the adaptation of the plumbing installation of the school toilet will be carried out in addition to the placement in the lobby of a stainless steel drinking fountain with reverse osmosis filter.
In the CEIP of Almendricos in early childhood education, the gate of the fence will be repaired, as well as a section of it.
In the CEIP Our Lady of the Rosary of Las Librilleras - Ramonete several locksmith works are planned on the doors of the toilets of the patio, as well as the exterior fence.
In the San Juan de Morata school, various repairs have been undertaken in the plumbing installation, pending the septic tank arrangement.
Also in the CEIP Alfonso X it is planned to repair the fence of the access ramp to the primary building and also repair the wastebasket of the access of the children's building.
In the CEIP Andrés García Soler the inner door of the fence of the sports court has been repaired, an underground water supply pipe will be replaced by deterioration in the section that runs between the meter and the school food and reserve tank , in addition to the repair of the affected asphalt pavement.
