The City Council activates the INUNLOR Plan before the orange rain alert planned for tomorrow in the Guadalentín Valley, Lorca and Ãguilas (26/08/2019)

A total of 200 troops among municipal emergency technicians, Municipal Emergency Service, Civil Protection, Local Police, Town Planning, Social Services, Aguas de Lorca, Limusa and private companies, as well as firefighters, are in a pre-alert situation.

The Councilor for Emergencies of the City of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, has announced that the Consistory has activated the INUNLOR Plan to "attend possible emergencies caused by the alert of rains, orange level, established by the State Meteorological Agency, AEMET, for tomorrow Tuesday, August 27 in the Guadalentín Valley, Lorca and Águilas ".

Casalduero Jódar has announced that "this rain alert will be activated on Tuesday from 00:00 to 15:00 on the same day. Specifically, the forecasts consider the possibility, between 40 and 47 percent, to accumulate up to 40 liters per square meter Before the activation by the General Directorate of Public Safety and Emergencies of the Autonomous Community of the pre-emergency phase of the INUNMUR Plan at Level 0, from the City of Lorca we have activated the INUNLOR Plan in the Pre-Emergency phase, specific for the municipality. "

The Edil has ensured that "the purpose of this phase is to alert the authorities and services involved, as well as to inform the potentially affected population in a preventive manner. The INUNLOR Plan entails the pre-alert situation for all municipal emergency personnel, Emergency Services Municipal Emergencies, Civil Protection, Local Police, Town Planning Technicians, Social Services, Aguas de Lorca, Limusa and private companies, to add more than 200 troops, as well as firefighters of the Firefighting Consortium. the operative ones and the opportune means to act in case it was necessary ".

Casalduero has insisted that "before the possible emergencies caused by these rains, from the City Council and the Municipal Emergency Service we ask the population to take into account both prevention measures and self-protection measures in order to guarantee the safety of the citizenship. Measures to prevent flood risk (before):

• Remove from the outside of the house those objects that can be dragged by the water.

• Do not park vehicles or camp in dry riverbeds, or at the riverside, to avoid being surprised by a sudden flood of water or by a flood.

• Have a medicine cabinet, water and durable food ready.

Calculate supplies for about three days.
