Under the slogan 'The festivities of Lorca free of sexist aggressions', 15 volunteers belonging to the Federation of Women's Organizations will provide information, guidance and the necessary support.

The Councilors of Equality and Celebrations of the City of Lorca, Antonia Pérez and José Ángel Ponce, together with representatives of the Federation of Women of Lorca and the Youth Council, presented this morning the campaign 'The festivities of Lorca free of sexist aggressions' .

The Councilor for Equality has explained that "the City of Lorca through the Department of Equality starts the awareness campaign 'The festivities of Lorca free of sexist aggressions' to be carried out during this fair, as was the case during the celebration of the festivities in honor of the Virgen de las Huertas and that will be maintained in the rest of periods of festivals, festivals and leisure environments of the municipality. "

Pérez has pointed out that "in our Fair we will have a 'Violet Point', a system of prevention of violence against women whose objective is to incorporate prevention, as well as raise awareness of the right of women to decide, and inform about attention services in situations of sexist violence. "

The Edil has stressed that "this 'Violet Point' will be attended by the volunteer staff of the Federation of Women's Organizations of Lorca, with a total of 15 volunteers who will be identified with a violet bracelet and will provide information, guidance and the necessary accompaniment ".

Pérez Segura has detailed that "during this Fair of Lorca 2019, the 'Violeta Point' will be located at the door of the Palace of Fairs and Congresses of Santa Quiteria, next to the rest of the emergency services, with two people at 22: 00 to 2:00 in the morning from Friday 20, the day on which the fair begins, and until Sunday, September 29, when it ends. "
