The Councilor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has reported that three agents of the Local Police of Lorca attended this past Thursday afternoon a man, in his 60s, who had entered cardiorespiratory arrest, in the interior of your vehicle, in the round of the San Fernando neighborhood.
The mayor of Local Police has detailed that "the man had been unconscious, after suffering a possible heart attack, so he had to be taken out of the car with the help of several people."
The agents used the portable defibrillator of the patrol car for resuscitation and proceeded to give three discharges accompanied by cardiac massage until the arrival of the Emergency Medical Unit (UME).
Ruiz added that, until the arrival of the Local Police, a girl and two operators of the Municipal Electric Service had already begun the resuscitation maneuvers.
The man was taken to Rafael Méndez de Lorca hospital after having recovered his pulse.
A fast and effective performance
These agents have experience in similar situations since they also intervened, a few months ago, to save the life of a man who suffered a heart attack at his home located in the neighborhood of La Viña and also attended a woman who gave birth in the street Floridablanca.
Ruiz Guillén has recognized the efforts of the agents "who are in constant training in this area and that as we have proven, once again, rapid action can save lives."
In addition, relatives of this man have shown their gratitude to the agents who acted in this emergency because they understand that "this action, fast and effective with the help of the defibrillator has saved his life."
