The Lorca Cross Horse Fair will be held on October 19 and 20 at the Huerto de La Rueda Fairgrounds (17/10/2019)

An event that dates back to the reign of Juan II of Castile and where you can enjoy the best horses again both in exhibition and for sale.

The Councilor of Livestock of the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro, presented this morning a new edition of the Fair of the Crossed Horse.

Navarro explained that "the event comes after the resounding success of FERICAB last weekend. On this occasion, on October 19 and 20 we will enjoy crossed horses, again in the Fairground of the Garden of La Rueda".

The Edil stressed that "access is completely free for both attendees and professionals who visit it in facilities that maintain the distribution of FERICAB with an enclosure divided into 26 corridors of 3 x 3 meters and 12 boxes of 2.5 x 2.5 meters, all of them located in a tent installed in the Garden of the wheel with dimensions of 45 x 20 meters. "

Navarro Pérez has stated that "it is a historic event whose origins date back to the reign of Juan II de Castilla when the monarch, in reward for the courage, feats and achievements of the Lorca people in defense of the front front against Saracen troops granted to Lorca the Royal Fair also known as the Beast Fair, which was held in our city until the early 90s, reaching the Horse Fair as we know it today and dating back to 1995. "

The Councilor of Livestock has encouraged "to attend a fair in which we will again enjoy large horse specimens both in exhibition and for sale, a traditional event of a leading sector in our city."
