The PP requires the Ministry of Development to assume and the requests of those affected by the layout of the AVE in La Hoya and Tercia (17/10/2019)

Ángel Meca encourages the victims to "not let their guard down" at the words of the ADIF technicians, and demands an official, formal and written commitment that contemplates the requested underpasses and the variations in the layout that are being claimed.

"What we have is a starting point, but we have to reach the end."

The Councilor for Development in the City of Lorca, Angel Meca, has encouraged the victims affected by the layout of the AVE in the districts of La Hoya and Tercia to continue claiming what the affected need, and stressed that if we had not put Underway this social movement led by the victims themselves, I am sure that we would not have forced the Ministry of Development to change their initial plans.

Yesterday's meeting was a positive point only partially, but it cannot be left alone in words, but we will be especially vigilant to get an official, formal and written commitment from the central government.

We are already cured of horror in front of the Ministry of Development, and we know that it is not the first time that "the words are blown away by the wind", so "works are love and not good reasons".

Ángel Meca has stated that it has become clear that the changes in the AVE works that we have been claiming from the Popular Party are necessary and respond to the general interest of all Lorca, and especially the residents of the affected districts.

From the PP they have transferred that, however, we cannot lose sight of the fact that we must continue to fight until the Ministry assumes the requests of the victims.

Yesterday is a first step, since they recognize that we are right, but it is not the solution.

There are still numerous Lorca people harmed by the plans of the central government for whose interests we will continue fighting.

We can't let our guard down for a second, because only then will we get the best for Lorca.

At the moment the Ministry has only assumed one of our requests, but is obliged to accept them all.

Ángel Meca has stressed that we will continue to demand that, given the high traffic recorded by the Villaespesa and Enmedio roads, both are not elevated but buried, in addition to the replacement of the Molino de la Sierra, Puente Churra and Vereda de La Palma roads.

These requests include the realization of a less invasive alternative for the affected private buildings, as well as the incorporation of more drainage works and the extension of the existing ones of 2.2 m, to avoid conditions in case of torrential rains.
