Alberto Garcia Martinez and Rocio Sanchez Vas, winners of the 8th Competition Narrative for Secondary Education "Award Angeles Pascual" (18/02/2016)

The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has released the list of winners of the 8th Competition Narrative for Secondary Education "Award Angeles Pascual", in which participated 187 students narratives of compulsory secondary education IES San Juan Bosco, Sun City College, IES Francisco Giner Ros, IES Prince of Asturias and Colegio San Francisco de Asis.

The award in the category of students of 1st and 2nd of ESO has been for Alberto Martinez Garcia of Sun City College, with narration entitled "shepherd".

The second prize was awarded to the work "La Poza" by José María Martínez García, a student of Sun City College. The third prize winner was Celia Sanchez Parra, also of the City of the Sun, with the story "That first book ".

Also within this category have been finalists Javier Martinez Garcia of Sun City College, with the play "The Lone Star";

Carlos Miñarro Garcia of San Francisco de Assisi College, with narration "The two-headed dragon" and also a student of St. Francis of Assisi Re María Miñarro with the story "Love conquers all".

In the category of students of 3rd and 4th of ESO, the first prize was awarded to Rocío Sánchez del Vas, student of IES Prince of Asturias, with his "Live to remember."

The story "Hope. Hope Serafin" Vicente Millán Re, a student at Colegio San Francisco de Asis has won the second prize.

The third prize went to the story "I want to be like you," the student of IES San Juan Bosco Cristina Ruiz Martinez.

The finalists in this category were Montiel Marta Cano, the San Juan Bosco, with narration "interest" Gimenez Maria Isabel Sanchez, also of San Juan Bosco, with "They" and Cerdera Mariano Ruiz of Sun City College, with "The great journey".

The jury of the contest, organized by public libraries of Lorca, has been formed by the Councillor for Education and the City University of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, teachers of Secondary Education Levers and Encarna Muñoz Adolfo García Carrión, Juan High School students Albarracín Edo and librarians Susana Torres Mora and Maria Luisa García Peñas.

The awards ceremony will be on Monday March 7 at 19.30 in the Cultural Fund Espin.

This event honors Angeles Pascual, professor of historical institutes and Ros Martin Ibáñez Giner, director of the Municipal Library for more than 30 years and Adoptive Daughter of Lorca who died Monday at the age of 96 years.

Therefore, Montiel said that "will be the first edition in which we will not have Doña Angeles, which saddens us. But these awards allow us to continue to remind both his figure as love letters forwarded dozens of generations of Lorca ".
